Continuing a legacy that began in 2007, this tenth edition marks nearly two decades of advancing our understanding of the most energetic non-thermal phenomena in the Universe.

Over the past two decades, HEPRO has established itself as the premier forum bringing together researchers working on extreme particle acceleration and relativistic outflows.

The Bologna meeting will celebrate our 10th anniversary by highlighting the immense progress made in understanding some of the most powerful non-thermal phenomena in the Universe. Discussions will center on:

  • Jets and winds associated with supernova explosions.

  • Compact binaries containing accreting black holes or rotating neutron stars.

  • Relativistic electron–positron outflows from pulsars.

  • Gamma-ray burst (GRB) sources.

  • Relativistic jets extending from sub-parsec scales in blazars and quasars to multi-kiloparsec scales in active galactic nuclei (AGN).

The CTAO Science Symposium aims to become a meeting point for researchers worldwide interested in very high-energy astrophysics, where they can present and discuss the latest advances in the field, as well as to learn more about the progress of the CTAO, both at a technological and scientific level.

Check out the Scientific Agenda on the Programme page, and visit this website regularly for further information on planned activities.
